First to 100: Grizzlies beat T’Wolves 106-89

Make it a full season sweep for the Grizzlies over the Timberwolves.

Zach Randolph dominated with 22 points and 8 rebounds for Memphis. O.J. Mayo added 20 points.

Randolph scored the first basket of the game and Grizzlies never looked back. Without Kevin Love the Wolves were ghosts in the paint, outscored 56-36.

The win puts the Grizzlies into the seventh playoff spot, 1/2 game ahead of New Orleans. Playoff magic number is now at three for Grizz.

Fans observed a moment of silence before the game to honor the passing of Larry Finch.

Quotable: Coach Lionel Hollins on the win. “We came in here and fought through some fatigue after an emotional win last night and managed to get a win over a team that wasn’t in the playoffs.”

First to 100 is a new feature for that will appear after every Grizzlies home game. 100 or so words of the best stuff from that night’s action.
