Memphis is a finicky city. Memphis likes tradition. Memphis does not usually embrace new things easily. But after a dismal football season for the Tigers, fans were able to be proud of at least one thing… Tiger Lane. This fantastic new tailgating area crushed the competition this year to earn its first M Award. If you have been there, then this probably does not come as a surprise. It is a top-notch tailgating area. It’s not quite enough to make me forget about Libertyland or the fact that the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (Is the Liberty Bell in Memphis? – Who knew?!?) is past its’ expiration date. But it is enough to keep me going to Tiger football games for the foreseeable future and listening to the game on the radio in my car.
Tiger Lane, First Place: 39.38%

So what do you think, Memphis? Did you get it right? Is tailgating at Tiger Lane before a Tiger Football game really better than pub-crawling on Beale Street before a Grizz game? What is the best tailgating accessory? Games? Food? Special mixed drinks? Tell us what you think in the comments below. And look for another winner later today. Here are the winners so far…
