MemphiSport has obtained the mass email sent out to all University of Memphis students featuring a letter urging Tiger Nation not to cut class in order to attend Tuesday’s 11:00 am nationally televised game between Memphis and Belmont at FedExForum.
Here is the email in its entirety:
Students and Faculty,
We wish the Memphis Tigers Men’s Basketball Team success in their game against Belmont on Tuesday, November 15 at 11:00 A.M. at the FedEx Forum as a part of the ESPN Around the Clock tournament. If you do not have classes scheduled on Tuesday morning, please support the team and attend the game. If you do have classes on Tuesday morning, please attend your regularly scheduled classes.
This communication is sent in response to inquiries from students and faculty.
Ralph Faudree, Provost
Will students listen and attend class? Is it wrong for a professor to schedule an exam during that time? What if a basketball player gets confused and attends class instead of the game?
