Week 3 TAM Ranking: Rebels remain No. 1 after impressive win

ole miss helmetIt was a less than impressive week for some of the TAM teams, but not for Ole Miss.  While Tennessee was getting throttled by Oregon, and Vanderbilt was getting dominated by South Carolina, the Rebels were laying the smack down on Texas.  Ole Miss defeated the Longhorns in impressive fashion, winning by three touchdowns at Royal Texas Memorial Stadium.

The Rebels performance earned them the No. 21 in the AP Top 25 Poll and keeps them at No. 1 in the TAM Rankings.

Meanwhile in other parts of Mississippi, Dan Mullen is still struggling against SEC West opponents following yet another loss to Auburn (Bulldogs are 1-4 against Auburn with Mullen as the head coach).  Mississippi State falls to 1-2 on the year and drop one spot in the TAM Rankings.

Saturday also saw MTSU pull off a close victory over Memphis in one of the weekends TAM team vs. TAM team battle.

In the other game featuring two TAM teams, Arkansas made quick work of Southern Mississippi who is still looking for their first win of the year.

Week 4 is about to kickoff and will bring more than its fair share of excitement, with the TAM game of the week belonging to Arkansas State vs. Memphis in Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

Without further ado here are week two’s TAM Rankings…

The Mid-South is full of fans with allegiances to different area college football programs. Which FBS program in the three states surrounding the Memphis area is the best?
