In case you don’t know her, Angela Renee Nelson Parks would like to introduce herself.

For starters, Parks is a 46-year-old native of Fort  Wayne, Indiana.

A longtime and current resident of Jackson, Tennessee, Parks is a graduate of Jackson Central Merry High School and a former enrollee of nearby Jackson State Community College.

Having been married for 25 years to her “high school sweetheart,” she is the proud mother of three who customarily shares in and basks in the glory of being the grandmother to seven.

It is, by all accounts, because of her fond admiration, coupled with her unyielding compassion for youths that have greatly enabled her to organize Angela’s Angels Childcare, a longstanding business that has become a fixture in Madison County.

Aside from finding her niche and passion for young people, Parks is also widely known for establishing One And The Same Event Planning, an up-and-coming venture that routinely affords Parks with the opportunity to create what she describes as “lasting memories” for clients throughout West Tennessee and the surrounding areas.

And beyond, of course.

By and large, that Parks has gone to great lengths to fulfill her purpose, thus walk in her divine purpose with God, her Helper, leading the way, is something about has greatly fueled her desire to esteem and others to maximize their fullest potential.

To her credit, Parks has become an ambassador, of sorts, in her community, in large part because of her stern commitment to coaching and mentoring The West Tennessee Elite Diesels Cheerleaders. In addition, she is the founder of Butterflies And Bookworms, a rising, progressive book club for girls ranging in ages three-to-12.

“I want to inspire others because it is not always easy to feel confident,” said Parks, further explaining her mission for emerging as the multitalented local ambassador for which she widely known. “But you can take some great advice from some amazing and inspiring women and govern yourself accordingly.”

Arguably her greatest attribute, she acknowledges, is helping others familiarize themselves, thus take the essential steps as it pertains to getting a leg up on career advancement.

“(I enjoy) helping other women gain the edge in their daily careers and lifestyle,” Parks said. “Many women tend to forget their worth. Trust me, this applies to me as well. We give so much and get so little, but when you are the center of your power, you will start to shine. Inside and out, you (are not to) allow yourself to become dull or dim. I really didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I did know the type of woman I wanted to become.” Diane Von Turstenberg quoted that.”

As for her flourishing event planning business, it was one she decided to establish, courtesy of having hosted an event for her grandchildren called planning parties for my “Glamkids.”

Today, event planning has become a way of life, of sorts, for this thriving, progressive woman of color.

“It is imperative to inspire others,” Parks said. “When you feel true passion for what you do, you instinctively find ways to nurture it and give it 100 percent. The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity.”

Talk about a “Glam”-orous introductio
