DALLAS — No one has to tell or pump Don R. Scott up to count his blessings.
Given all about which he’s gone through over the years, given how he’s managed to persevere and cling to unwavering faith when critics and naysayers had written him off, given how he’s steadfastly defied all odds, thus cleared those seemingly insurmountable hurdles throughout the years, one would become thoroughly enlightened as to why Scott deems it necessary to pay homage to his Creator.
Every single chance he gets.
“It is my passion to leave a trail blazing (legacy behind) so hot that all who are graced to (experience it), they will be immediately be impacted by it because it will reveal to you the power of God in all of His glory,” Scott told longtime journalist Andre Johnson during a recent interview.
By and large, to grasp a deeper, in-depth understanding of why Scott thinks it essential to honor God in all he does, look no further than the assortment of trials and hardships and adversities he’s managed to overcome, most notably over the past decade-and-a-half.
For starters, Scott’s reputation is such that he’s one who’s destined to exercise his faith in such a way that those with whom he crosses paths will subsequently know that he’s had a personal encounter with Almighty God. Most importantly, in speaking with him, in witnessing and hearing how eloquently he alludes to being a devoted father and newly-wed husband, one would essentially be hard-pressed to realize that Scott once served 16 years in prison, considering he customarily exemplifies love compassion the way God’s law admonishes us to.

All things considered, Scott has managed to defy and conquer the greatest of odds and, to his credit, many of his peers are starting to notice and embrace and celebrate his relentless pursuit of happiness.
Today, unlike never before, Scott — whom recently celebrated two years of marriage to his wife, Rosekisha G. Scott — is living and basking and dwelling in God’s glory as a booming, progressive Dallas/Fort Worth-area business owner, a much-anticipated milestone that essentially has provided him with a new lease on life.
Don Scott is owner and chief operating officer of Don’s Custom Satellite And Television Installation, an up-and-coming company that was founded on the basis of providing a favorable affordable customer service experience to clients across the massive Metroplex and throughout the heartland region of the country.
“I believe that with the combination of technology and installation expertise, any custom television experience that a customer wishes can be achieved,” Scott explained.
In addition, Don’s Custom Satellite And Television Installation will perform installation maneuvers that most “big box “service technicians are prohibited from performing,” Scott said.
You name it. He got you. He can do it.
Or, at least he’ll try.
Scott, in fact, is one who can do it all — everything from installing from a roof, ceiling and entry points, he said.
“All work done by Don’s Custom Satellite And Television Installation is 100 percent guaranteed,” Scott said.
More than anything, Scott emphasized, happy clients are key and his company’s No. 1 priority.
“If, by any chance, there is an issue on our installation, we will respond promptly and free of charge,” Scott said. “From scheduling to post installation education, Don’s Custom Satellite And Television Installation takes the hassle completely out of the experience.”
Having been in operations since June 2016, Scott’s business was established in nearby Irving, Texas, a venture that also provides DirecTV installation as well as custom satellite television mounting, wiring and setup.
Simply put, Scott undoubtedly knows his professional craft because, well, he’s a mastermind as it pertains to modern technology.
In addition to his new business, Scott is a trainer for MasTec Advanced Technologies, a Dallas-based industry that affords him with the golden opportunities to train other aspiring technicians in his chosen industry.
“It is my passion to leave a trail blazing (legacy behind) so hot that all who are graced to (experience it), they will be immediately be impacted by it because it will reveal to you the power of God in all of His glory,” Scott said once again.
To his credit, he’s certainly seems on track to doing just that.
With God, his Helper, leading the way.
